1^st Day : Santiago – Iquique

Transfer to the airport Arturo Merino Benitez to fly from Santiago to Iquique.

En route visit the nitrate Humberstone and Santa Laura, Huara getting into town for lunch, then continue at Cerro Unitas to observe the largest Geoglyph the area “El Gigante de Atacama” then go up to the viewpoints of Chusmiza and Pachica, the latter the edge of the Atacama Desert., then pass by the Town of Cariquima, famous for its skilled artisan weaving for centuries to reach Colchane at 18:00 hrs. approx. Dinner and accommodation.

Almuerzo + Cena + Hotel Isluga

2^th day: Colchane Pisiga – Tahua (Bolivia)

First breakfast. We cross the Bolivian border by Coipasa Salar, Salar de Uyuni near the village of Llica, Tahua, the hotel accommodation Salt Tayka Dinner

3^th day: Tahua – Salar de Uyuni – San Pedro de Quemes

First breakfast. Chillquilla, Pucara Chillima Island Incahuasi the Mala Mala Bay, towards the cave Galaxy, San Pedro de Quemes. Dinner and overnight hotel Tayka Stone.

Desayuno + Almuerzo + Cena + Hotel Tayka.

4^th day: Laguna del Desierto – Ojo de Perdiz  

After breakfast visit San Pedro de Quemes, Laguna Cañapa, Laguna Hedionda, Laguna Honda, Ramaditas . Lunch box-lunch. Dinner and overnight Hotel Tayka Desert * * * Ojo de Perdiz (Eye of Partridge), 4,000 m.

Desayuno + Almuerzo + Cena + Hotel Tayka.

5^th day: Ojo de Perdiz – Laguna Colorada – Laguna Verde – San Pedro de Atacama/Moon Valley

First breakfast. Exit quickly Arbol de Piedra, Laguna Colorada, Sol de Mañana geyser, Chalviri desert, Valley of the Ladies of the Desert, Hito Cajon border. San Pedro de Atacama. San Pedro. In the afternoon we leave San Pedro approximately at 4:00 p.m. heading for the Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna), situated in the Cordillera de la Sal, where we take a walk in salt canyons. Finally we watch the fascinating colors appearing during sunset from a sand dune of 500 m height before returning to the hotel in San Pedro. Dinner and accommodation.

6^th day: San Pedro de Atacama – Saltflat Salar de Atacama – Altiplanic Lagoons – San Pedro de Atacama

Breakfast at the hotel. We leave San Pedro de Atacama at 8:30 a.m. We are heading towards the village of Toconao which is an oasis at the edge of the saltflat of Atacama. From there we are going to Socaire (3218 m) which will lead us to altiplanic lagoons of Miscanti and Meñiques at 4350 m in the Reserva Nacional los Flamencos. After having lunch in Socaire we are descending to the edge of the Atacama saltflat where we finally reach the lagoons of Chaxa which are famous for their flamingo populations. Return to the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. Dinner and accommodation.

12th Day – November, 20th : San Pedro de Atacama – Padre Le Paige’s museum – Calama – Chuquicamata’ mine – airport

Breakfast in the hotel, visit of Padre Le Paige’s museum to learn the archeoalogical history which was discovered by a Belgian priest of the same name in the Atacama desert. At midday we will go further to the mining village of Chuquicamata to visit the world’s greatest open copper mine. We will have lunch in the city of Calama and after that transfer to Cobre airport in Calama.
